My story:
Callie crouched beneath the darkened window of an upstairs room.
She peered out the window. Outside the cabin, the wind howled through the
trees, making shadows nearly indiscernible. But her trained eye found them. Ten
enemies, waiting for the command to attack. A glance at her watch made her
swear under her breath. There was only
an hour to get back and deliver the package. She couldn’t waste any more time. Scott’s
life depended on her success. She inched the window open, grateful it didn’t squeak.
Raising her rifle, Callie took aim at the first target and squeezed the
trigger.
