WonHundred Word Wednesday: Quick, hide!

Hey readers! Late in the day again, but still here on Wednesday. :) I've got a silly little flash fiction for you today! Check it out:

The prompt: Quick, hide behind the sofa

My story:

You can’t trust a charming guy. Darren taught me that. We’d been dating for two months and were watching a movie at his place when the lock on the front door turned. He leapt off the couch. “Quick, hide behind the sofa!”

“What? Why?” I asked.

“Just do it!” He tugged at my arm.

The door swung open, a tall blonde chick stared at me. “Who are you?” she asked.

“Darren’s girlfriend. Who are you?”

“I’m his girlfriend.”

I snagged Darren’s cell phone as it buzzed, reading the text aloud ‘I miss you, baby.’

Darren grinned, “Ladies, I can explain.”

I hope you enjoyed! Let me know what you thought in the comments and don't forget to check out the other stories posted on the Facebook page. Happy reading!

WonHundred Word Wednesday: Outside the Cabin

Hey readers! I'm a little late today, but hey! I'm here! That's three for three! :) Without further ado!

The prompt: Outside the cabin, the wind howled through the trees

My story:

Callie crouched beneath the darkened window of an upstairs room. She peered out the window. Outside the cabin, the wind howled through the trees, making shadows nearly indiscernible. But her trained eye found them. Ten enemies, waiting for the command to attack. A glance at her watch made her swear under her breath.  There was only an hour to get back and deliver the package. She couldn’t waste any more time. Scott’s life depended on her success. She inched the window open, grateful it didn’t squeak. Raising her rifle, Callie took aim at the first target and squeezed the trigger.

The characters in this flash fiction tie in with the characters in this flash fiction, just for fun! Let me know what you think in the comments and don't forget to check out the other stories on our Facebook page!

WonHundred Word Wednesday: Regret

It's Wednesday, everyone! Here's this week's flash fiction.

The prompt: This wasn’t where he wanted to be

My story:

Five nights. Five nights in a row now he’d sat in the same spot on this couch playing video games. He had been so sure this was what he wanted. Time. Time alone, to do what ever he wanted. He had expected a feeling of freedom, not this crushing weight on his heart. Not the doubt overshadowing every thought and every action. What had he done? This wasn’t where he wanted to be. He wanted to be with her, but was he too late? There was only one way to know. He grabbed his coat and ran out the door.

As always, feel free to leave a comment and head over to our Facebook page to see who else has contributed. Happy reading!

WonHundred Word Wednesday: The Curse

Hey readers! It's been a while, but with a new year, I want to work on my writing and these prompts help me out a lot. Plus they are lots of fun! Here's this weeks' prompt, I hope you enjoy it!

The prompt: The whole family had been cursed since

My story:

Annia looked out over the graveyard. She clutched the medallion in one hand, an ancient sword in the other. One task left, and she would be free. Her whole family had been cursed since her ancestor stole the medallion centuries ago. The price grew higher with each passing generation, and Annia was ready to end it once and for all. The journey had been long and hard. But now, all she had to do was return the medallion to its proper place in the crypt. If only it were that easy. She gripped the sword tightly, stepping into the shadows.

Hope you liked it! Don't forget to check out the other's stories on our Facebook page!
