WonHundred Word Wednesday: Frantic Search

Here are again folks, and here is your 100 word story!

The prompt: As she searched, her movements were frantic

My story:

Anna ignored the tugging on her skirt until it stopped. Looking away from her grocery list, she turned to her three-year-old son.

He was gone.

She turned on the spot, scanning the area around her, but saw no little boy. She ran down the aisle, forcing down the panic that quickly built. He had to be close, it had only been a few seconds. As she searched, her movements were frantic, nearly colliding with several shoppers. She approached the last aisle, praying he’d be there. Halfway down the candy aisle the boy sat, mouth full and hands covered in chocolate.

It's amazing what kids can do in a matter of seconds. I hope you enjoyed it, and as always, be sure to check out the other stories today too!
