WonHundred Word Wednesday: Drastic Action

Good afternoon, dear readers! Today is Wednesday and I've prepared a 100 word story for your reading pleasure.

The prompt: More and more people were refusing to obey the laws.

My story:

Sheriff Williams looked out the window over the town center. Even from there, he could see the crime taking place on his streets. Pick pockets, thieves stealing food from the vendors, and illegal sales in dark corners. More and more people were refusing to obey the laws., and as sheriff, the responsibility was his to control it.

He tapped the letter against his hand. It held permission from the king to do something drastic. He'd hoped it wouldn't come to this, such actions would bring the townspeople to their knees. But he'd tried everything else.

He sighed. It was time.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it! As always, please check out what our other authors wrote by visiting our Facebook page
