Hey readers! Here we are at Wednesday again, can you believe it? Hope you're ready for this week's story!
The Prompt: He itched to clear the ground, to look out and see nothing
My Story:
He itched to clear the
ground, to look out and see nothing but forest and lake. Muttering under his
breath, he set to work.
Early the next
morning, he stood at his window, hiding a smile in his cup of coffee. Smoke and
ashes filled the air, but there was no obstruction to his sunrise. The firemen
hadn’t arrived in time to save the building. It was the thought of her there
with another man that drove him to it. She should have known better then to
build a cabin facing his on their split land. She’d know better now.
