It's Wednesday! Here's my 100 word story for the week!
The prompt: Someone must have
seen him, because the police were at his door
My story:
Damien hurried to the
sink in the garage. It took three times washing his hands before they came clean.
He retrieved the bundle from the car, opened the hidden compartment under a
cupboard, and stashed it there before going inside. Red and blue light flashed
through his window. Someone must have seen him, because the police were at his
door. He wiped his hands on his jeans and took three steadying breaths.
Composing his face into a calm expression was easy, he’d done it so often.
Charming smile in place, he answered the door. “Hello, officers. Can I help
you?”
