It's Wednesday, and I actually wrote one this week! Check it out:
The prompt: There was a legend about the well in the garden
My story:
There was a legend about
the well in the garden, and Gwen believed it. So much that she’d talked herself
into walking to the well at midnight in January. So much that she’d coaxed her
bare feet onto the cold stone wall. So much that she’d risk everything for hope
of happiness.
Just one more step and
she’d be free. Free from the sideways glances, free from the criticism. Free to
make her life her own. One more step and her dreams could be hers.
Gwen closed
her eyes, dropped the token into the well and stepped into the abyss.
As always, check out the other stories!
