WooHoo! It's Wednesday! If you're new this week, here's what we do. Myself and an AWESOME group of writers all get a short prompt and write a 100 word story based on that prompt. We all post our stories on our blogs, so that you, dear readers, can see the amazing directions each story goes. It's been so much fun being a part of this group, and I hope you all are enjoying the journey as much as I am.
Anyway, without further ado, this week's prompt: She had to find the necklace, before...
My story:
She had to find the necklace, before the king realized it
was gone.
Amber hurried through the castle, searching every corner and
crevice. Fear crept up inside her.
“Why did I take it? I knew I shouldn’t take it.”
Technically, since her mother had passed away fifteen years
ago, the necklace was hers. But Amber knew the magic it held was far beyond her
control. She only meant to wear it for a minute, but she’d become distracted.
Princesses weren’t supposed to get distracted.
Then again, princesses weren’t supposed to lose the only thing
that kept their kingdom safe either.
Now click on the links below to see what the others wrote. And, as always, I love to hear your comments!

Yeah, you wouldn't want to lose something like that. Love the descriptions and the way I could visualize the story so well.
ReplyDeleteIt was very visual and made it easy to empathize with her anxiety. Maybe they should have put it under guard.
ReplyDeleteExcellent. I would love to see how this pans out!
ReplyDeleteOh man! Hope she finds it! Sounds like her neck is on the line.
