Wow, I totally forgot today was Wednesday... then when I remembered, I was in a hurry and couldn't post. My apologies. But here you go! Today's prompt is "Today's horoscope: Your prized possession will end up in someone else's hands."
I grab my phone, silencing the alarm. Before my eyes are
fully open, I've anxiously clicked into my favorite app. Yawning, I read the
words on the screen.
I jump out of bed, still tangled in my sheets and fall
heavily to the floor. My heart is racing, I can barely breathe. How can this be
happening?
My husband peers over the edge of the bed. “You ok?”
I show him the cursed words on my phone: “Today’s horoscope:
Your prized possession will end up in someone else’s hands.”
“I’m sorry, honey,” I say. “You’ll have to stay home today.”
