This week's prompt is "The devil's name was Fred."
Here is my response!
I stared at the man in front of me, amazed and terrified by
the change that had suddenly taken place. His kind face had transformed, now hard
and stony. His eyes, clear blue and usually filled with love, burned flaming
red, and were edged with scorching hate.
I stepped away, “F-f-Fred, what’s happening? You’re scaring
me.”
He chuckled darkly, advancing on me, and I knew he was no
longer the man I had known for so long, the man I had loved. Maybe he never really
was. He was the devil, he was my husband, and I was his forever.
It's been a long time since I've written anything and this was a fun way to get back into it! I hope you enjoyed it, please let me know what you thought in the comments.

ReplyDeleteYikes! Talk about someone changing on you. This reminded me of Hades and Persephone. Great job!
