It's Wednesday! Man, these last few have been hard for me for some reason. It's just hard to get my brain going. But I like where this one ended up, and I hope you do too!
Prompt: The truth about love is...
My story:
She gave it away first before she even knew she was doing
it. It was an automatic response to those who gave it to her. As she learned
and grew, she gave it away more carefully, choosing to give it to those closest
to her. She promised to give it forever with an exchange of rings. When she first
held each tiny, wiggling bundle of joy, she gave away more than she knew she
had. Though she gave and gave, she never ran out, because the truth about love
is the more you give it away, the more it grows.

ReplyDeleteAww how sweet. Love this.
ReplyDeleteI think I say this in every single comment, but I just love your writing style! You take these ideas and put such an original voice to them. I love how much of this character's life you took us through in just a hundred words.
ReplyDeleteNice piece. I love how there is a whole life time of love stories in this short paragraph.
