Here you are dear readers!
The prompt: He looked at his phone, turned pale, then quickly left the room.
My story:
Jason sat in the café,
sipping his coffee, waiting. A beep sounded from his pocket. He looked at his
phone, turned pale, then quickly left the room. “Where are you?” the
text read. How could he have forgotten she’d be home early tonight?
Racing home, heart
pounding, he searched for an excuse. He had kept her in the dark for so long,
he couldn’t blow it now.
Pulling up the drive, he stepped into the role of faithful
husband. His cool demeanor and smooth lie hid his nerves. But her kiss assured
him she still knew nothing of his secret.
Don't forget to check out the others!
