Hey friends! Ir's WonHundred Word Wednesday, which means here's another bit of flash fiction! Enjoy!
The prompt: He was older than she'd thought he would be
My story:
Janette studied each
table until she found the one with the yellow rose. The walk to the table
seemed endless; she’d never been on a blind date before, much less with someone
she met online.
“Hi, you must be
Marco.” She said.
He was older than
she'd thought he would be. What else had he lied about on his profile?
Instead of offering her a seat, he stood and grabbed her arm. His dark eyes
bored into hers, grave and intense.
“Marco isn’t coming.
But you need to come with me. Now.” His gaze softened. “Your life depends on
it.”
